  • “Author” refers to individuals listing books or using our publishing services.
  • “Customer” refers to individuals purchasing books or products.
  • “Service” refers to publishing, book listing, subscriptions, and online store features.

2. Use of the Website

You agree not to misuse the website, including attempting to hack, disrupt, or steal content.
All content, images, and text remain the property of Royal Book Store unless otherwise stated.

3. Book Listing Service

By listing your book with us:

  • You confirm you own the rights to your book.
  • You grant Royal Book Store permission to display, sell, and promote your book.
  • You understand that our team manages listing, hosting, payments, and customer communication.
  • You agree to the subscription plan selected (monthly or annual).

Subscription Fees:

  • Monthly Plan: R150/month
  • Annual Plan: R1800/year

Subscriptions are non-refundable and automatically renew unless cancelled before renewal.

4. Orders, Payments & Delivery

For customers purchasing books:

  • All payments are processed securely through third-party payment providers.
  • Orders will be delivered using trusted courier services.
  • Delivery times may vary depending on region and stock availability.
  • Free shipping applies only where stated.

5. Returns & Refunds

  • Books may be returned only if damaged, misprinted, or incorrect.
  • Digital products (eBooks, downloads) are non-refundable.
  • Subscription fees for authors are non-refundable once activated.

6. Author Responsibilities

Authors must ensure their book:

  • Does not infringe copyright
  • Contains legal and ethical content
  • Meets basic quality and formatting standards

Royal Book Store reserves the right to decline listings that violate policies.

7. Intellectual Property

All website content, branding, designs, layouts, and images are owned by Royal Book Store.
Unauthorized use is prohibited.

8. Limitation of Liability

Royal Book Store is not responsible for:

  • Loss of income due to author pricing decisions
  • Printing delays caused by third parties
  • Shipping delays by couriers
  • Website downtime due to maintenance or technical issues

We will always strive to resolve any issues promptly.

9. Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate an account if:

  • Fraud is suspected
  • Terms & Conditions are violated
  • Illegal content is uploaded

Authors may cancel their subscription at any time from their account.

10. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions follow the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
